Spectra Media Collective

Data Gathering: Spectra has built a production library to house and organize play, artist, venue, and community data. Their database ranges from well known New York theaters (Broadway and Off-Broadway) to regional, community and educational producing houses. Most recently Spectra partnered with the Lucille Lortel Theatre, which is now the new home of the Internet Off-Broadway Database. Spectra has spent the last 3 years gathering data from theater communities, online sources, and personal collections, and they continue to add information from as many theater makers as possible.

Human Resources: Spectra Media Collective is engaging with theater communities of color to address their specific needs, including self-service licensing. The goal of their digital space is to highlight underrepresented communities as well as direct the spotlight towards all kinds of theater-makers, not just professionals.

Other: A special application built by Spectra is called the "Project Builder" which is a tool for the earliest space of inspiration, imagining and collaborating on potential future productions. Think Pinterest meets Notes meets Figma.
